Once in a Blue Moon

We are headed into the Full Moon/ Eclipse energy.  This one is pretty powerful.  A Full Moon activates your intentions while an eclipse will accelerate those intentions.  Not only is it a Full Moon but it is a Super Moon, Blood Moon, AND a Blue Moon with a total lunar eclipse occurring at the exact same time!  A Blue Moon occurs when there are 2 Full Moons in a single month.  It is pretty rare, hence the saying "Once in a Blue Moon."  The Blood Moon is a term used when the Moon looks red. 

Let's explore how you can use the energy of this event because it is very potent!

As you know, we are in an 11 Universal year.  The 11 stands for the gateway that connects you to the heavens and the Earth.  It is a number that reflects partnerships while standing on your own two feet.  You have access to deep intuition and a knowing of what you need to do to manifest all you desire.  It's a time to share your dreams with someone and reap the gifts of the Universe!  Stand in your power and walk towards your dreams of more love, wealth, and prosperity!

This Full Moon/Eclipse takes place on January 31st, for most of us.  The Moon and Sun will both be at 11° at this time.  This is the second time this year that a Full Moon has the Sun and Moon sitting at this degree.  The number 11 is a very big theme for this year and the 2 Full Moons that have started off the year are doubling the impacting of this theme.  This is the time to bring forward a partnership that is supportive.  The gateway is open to receive.  It's time to ask for help in stepping up and into the light.  It's time to find that special someone or proclaim the prosperity you so richly deserve!  It is your birthright to live with love, abundance, and beauty all around you.

This Full Moon is happening in Leo.  The Sun rules Leo.  The last time a Full Moon occurred in Leo was on the August 21st, Full Moon, Great American Eclipse.  You can read more about the energy of eclipse here. All of the intentions you put forward in August are being brought back around for you to deal with again. 

Did you fully embrace those intentions?  If not, this energy is demanding you to look at how you want to shine in love and life. 

Remember, Leo rules the heart.  Any heart based decisions will need to be addressed. 

Are you working in a career you love? 

Are you sharing your life with someone you love? 

Are you living with a feeling of love around your wealth and prosperity? 

Ask yourself these questions and seek your true heart's desire. 

Leo is playful, fun, and loves to shine bright.  This energy is contagious!  How are you going to incorporate this energy so you can be more playful, creative, and powerful?  Allow yourself to bring in the passion of Leo.  Leo is a fire sign, so it's naturally passionate and intense.  These are attributes that will allow you to become the person you desire.  It's a "let's do it" energy.  This is the perfect time to use this energy.  

Eclipse energy accelerates anything you put in it's path.  It lasts anywhere from 6 months to 2 years.  If your natal birth chart is being triggered by this eclipse you will feel it for the next 2 years.  If not, you will feel it for around 6 months.  Chose your intentions wisely as they will have a lasting effect.  Since the Sun is in Aquarius, you have access to very brilliant ideas.  

When working with the Law of Attraction, consciously focus on keeping your emotional vibration high.  If you feel heavy or down, reconnect to your heart.  Allow yourself to feel the blessings you have around you now.  Seek that higher vibration in a deliberate way.  Do this until you feel some relief.

To tie it all together, here are some steps to use this energy in your favor.

• Go to a quiet place -  Think back to August.  Spend time journaling on the following questions.  What were your goals at the time of the Great American Eclipse?  Have those transpired?  If so, how can you refine them so you can benefit more deeply.  If not, what different actions do you need to take in order for those intentions to manifest?
• Journal - explore how you are connected to your higher self.  Write around how you receive valuable insights.  Explore where you are in the areas of love, wealth, abundance, and joy.  What do you want to focus on for the next 6 months?
• During the Full Moon/Eclipse - meditate on your desires.  Visualize you becoming one with these dreams.  Feel yourself being supported and loved.
• Take action on any ideas that come to you during this time.  They will be supported.

As you can see, these events are going to be pretty powerful.  Drink lots of water, rest when you need, and make sure you connect to what your heart wants.  Don't settle for less.
